For the second day in a row, the Commission scolaire du Fleuve-et-des-Lacs has suspended classes in schools of the region of the Basques for the day due to bad weather conditions.
The schools affected by this measure are the school April the Saint-Jean-de-Dieu, Saint-Clément, Maison familiale rurale, Saint-Cyprien, Sainte-Rita, Sainte-Marie, the Canon-Side, Soaring, Bird-Singer, the Joy, the Rays of the Sun, Gérard-Raymond, Litalien, high School Trois-Pistoles and the adult education Centre and the vocational training Centre.
Child care services remain open except in Saint-Clement, Sainte-Françoise and Saint-Mathieu-de-Rioux. Note that all the schools of the Commission scolaire du Fleuve-et-des-Lacs sector of Témiscouata are open. The activities also take place normally on the whole territory of the Commission scolaire de Kamouraska-Rivière-du-Loup.

A weather warning from Environment Canada is still in effect for the region of Rimouski and Bic. Snow squalls are expected because of the strong winds. Under these squalls, the visibility may be greatly reduced and the combined effect of the wind and the blowing snow could create accumulations of snow quickly.
STATE OF THE ROADS
On the highway 20 and route 132 from Rivière-du-Loup and Rimouski, the roadway is snow-covered and visibility is reduced. The situation is the same on highway 185 between Saint-Hubert-de-Rivière-du-Loup and Dégelis and on the road 232 from Lac-des-Aigles to Rimouski.
