For his album of Our stories, Maxime Landry has written and composed pieces inspired by the confidences of his audience.

“A lot of people come to me after a show. Some of them entrust themselves to me. I’ve had a crush for a few stories and it was there that the idea to start writing an album to the public,” explains the singer beauceron.

With forty compositions in a bank, Maxime Landry has chosen 14 pieces to the project that may well find a following. It is necessary to clarify, however, that the songs does not identify any individual and that they are inspired largely stories of his admirers.

Maxime Landry cites the example of The day where I signed my name, a song telling the story of parents addicts to let go their child for adoption.

“I have used fictitious names and the public has acted as the spark to push my inspiration”, he explains.

After a Christmas album and a country style, Maxime Landry is back to his style of contemporary pop on the album Our stories. It ensures that the audience weep and laugh by wearing the ear to the slice-of-life anonymous every time he climbs on stage.

“In Beauce, it is even better, because there are a lot of people I know personally in the room. I have a pride to sing on stage in front of people in my corner. I will work also this year for the album so in Europe. This is the first time that I try to develop this market,” he says.

The spectacle Maxime Landry will take place on Saturday, January 20 at 20h in the salle Alphonse-Desjardins du Cégep Beauce-Appalaches, Saint-Georges. Tickets are on sale for 37 $ at the box office of the Lovers of the Stage (11740, 3rd Avenue), by phone at 418 228-2455 or on the site of the Lovers of the Stage.
