The Group Hope and Cancer hopes to raise $ 20,000 and serve 1400 lunch at his 21st brunch-profit February 18, from 8: 30 to 13h at the school of the Two-Shores to Saint-Georges.

A councillor for the City of Saint-Georges, Solange Thibodeau has accepted the honorary presidency. Very involved in the cultural scene beauceron, she has survived cervical cancer 20 years earlier.

“Lately, I have a friend who lost her sister, and another which is passed through. When one hears the word cancer, it was thought that we might be able to die. It is for this reason that the Group Hope and Cancer is so important by listening to and support with its many programs”, said Ms. Thibodeau.

The brunch-benefit is the main fundraising event for the organization serving the MRC Beauce-Sartigan, Robert-Cliche, and The Etchemins.

“Each year, 3,000 new cases of cancer are diagnosed in the Chaudière-Appalaches. The brunch helps us financially and also serves to break the isolation in the face of the disease,” said Lysis Perron, executive director of the Group Hope and Cancer.

Andrew Christian will be the musical entertainment during lunch. A special corner will be dedicated to the children and other surprises are on the menu.

Tickets are available in presale at $ 15 for adults at IGA Rodrigue and girls, IGA families Rodrigue et Groleau, to the office of the Group Hope and Cancer (477, 90th Street, suite 250), as well as by the network of vendors, volunteers, the list of which is displayed on the website of the Group Hope and Cancer.

The price will be $ 18 at the door. For children 8 to 12 years, tickets at $ 10 will be on sale exclusively during the lunch. Access will be free for seven years and under.
