Antoine Déry will be the next director general of the Commission scolaire de Kamouraska–Rivière-du-Loup

Antoine Déry sera le prochain directeur général de la Commission scolaire de Kamouraska–Rivière-du-Loup

The board of Commissioners of the Commission scolaire de Kamouraska–Rivière-du-Loup has, at its meeting of adjournment of the April 4, proceeded to the commitment of mr. Antoine Déry as general manager. He will take office on 1st July next.

Mr. Déry is director, deputy general director of the department of educational resources and director of business services at the Commission scolaire des Laurentides since 2010. Teacher, then guidance counselor, he became a manager in the public network for over 15 years, occupying also the functions of a high school principal and director of a training centre for adults in general. His various professional experiences have allowed him to grow steadily to better meet the educational challenges and drive various organizational changes.

“The board of Commissioners is pleased to be able to count on an experienced manager that will provide a nice respite to the general management. Mr. Déry prioritizes the quality of services for all students. He is an instructional leader and administrative done and he always knew how to renew and update their skills. Just like us, he places the human being at the heart of its reflections, and it has always been recognized in this sense. We are convinced that our new general manager will lead our organization in a healthy continuum, while paving the way towards new horizons”, explains Edith Samson, president of the school Board.

Antoine Déry will be present at Rivière-du-Loup on the 16th of April next. During the day, he will be able to meet members of the staff of the school Board and be presented to the media at a press conference.

Recall that mr. Déry will take over from Yvan Tardif, who has held the position of director-general over the past 15 years. The Commission scolaire de Kamouraska–Rivière-du-Loup places his entire confidence in mr. Déry and assures him of its full co-operation for the support in his new duties.
