Quebec, Beaupre and Portneuf ambulance workers will begin an unlimited general strike on Thursday, joining several other bodies in the province.
Without a contract of employment since 31 March 2015, several fraternities of the Quebec Federation of Prehospital Employees were authorized by the Administrative Labor Tribunal (TAT) a few days ago to trigger, on Thursday, one Strike of indefinite duration.
The TAT has deemed sufficient the essential services that the various paramedic corps will maintain.
Concretely, paramedics will stop washing the exterior cladding of their ambulances, partially stop filling up the bills after a race and will no longer take medical staff back home after a long distance journey. However, they will continue to work according to their regular schedule and employer additions.
